Subject: May you stay "forever young" - some thoughts

Hi all

Forever young – some thoughts

Great old song, according to Wikipedia, originally sung as a lullaby for Dylan’s young son Jesse, and then adapted by Rod Stewart, and then recorded a bunch of times, including the winner of Britain’s X-Factor last year.
Here’s Dylan’s live version with the Band, along with the lyrics.

"Chosen" is based on the Proto-Indo-European root "geus" meaning "to taste; to choose." It forms words for "taste" in Greek and Latin e.g. "Gustatory", but its descendants in Germanic and Celtic mostly mean "Try" or "Choose". Probably also the words "Cosa" and "Causa" in modern Italian from which comes the English word "Cause", and perhaps due to that even "Just" and "Justice" from the Latin words "Jus" and "Juris".

Now, over to the scriptures, the book of Psalms, the book of Acts and the letters of Paul.

Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the LORD (Jehovah) is good".
While no one’s sure when Paul was born, here’s a timeline for when he was born again, about 33AD up until the day (in about 64AD) when he was promoted to glory, that’s 31 years give or take a little, and about the same length of time Jesus had (in our time) from when he was "young and choice and chosen", the Hebrew word "bahur".

So, here ‘tis, working with other pages of Paul I located on the Internet, appreciate any feedback.

Extract from Psalm 81 below

Psa 81:13 Oh, that my people would listen to me. Oh, that Israel would follow me, walking in my paths.

Psa 81:14 How quickly I would then subdue their enemies. How soon my hands would be upon their adversaries.

Psa 81:15 Those who hate the LORD, act deceptively before Him, and their season is to be perpetual.

Psa 81:16 He would have fed them also with the finest wheat. I would satisfy you with wild honey from the rock.
