Search
You may search in one of two ways.
Option 1: Specific Item Search
If you are searching for a specific item or items, and you know the item(s) you are looking for, use the sub-options on the left hand side.
Select the appropriate category.
Examples of categories are books, videos, software etc. You may select all categories, or just one. Click on All Categories to see the full selection.
Now click inside the SEARCH FOR text field.
If it is part of the title or the author or the isbn or the code, enter as much as you know. If the WITHIN box does not display the words "TITLE OR AUTHOR OR ISBN OR CODE", click on the box, and select the phrase "TITLE OR AUTHOR OR ISBN OR CODE". Then click on the search button. After a few seconds (normally), the screen will display the results of the search.
If you just wish to search in the author field, enter as much of the author as will match the name on the product. If the WITHIN box does not display the word "AUTHOR", click on the box, and select the word "AUTHOR". Then click on the search button. After a few seconds (normally), the screen will display the results of the search.
If you just wish to search in the ISBN or the supplier code, enter as many characters as you know. If the WITHIN box does not display the word "ISBN" or "CODE", click on the box, and select the appropriate word. Then click on the search button. After a few seconds (normally), the screen will display the results of the search.
Option 2: Browse Around
If, instead of a specific item, you wish to browse the database, the sub-options on the right hand side are there to help you.
Sub-Option 1: CATEGORIES.
Examples of categories are books, videos, software etc. You may select all categories, or just one. Click on the box to see the full selection.
Sub-Option 2: WHOLESALERS.
You may select all wholesalers, or just one. Click on the box to see the full selection.
Sub-Option 3: PUBLISHERS.
You may select all publishers, or just one. Click on the box to see the full selection.
Finally, you may choose the order in which you wish to view your selection.
Order option 1: TITLE. Items are displayed alphabetically by title.
Order option 2: ISBN. Items are displayed numerically by ISBN. If an item has no ISBN, it is excluded.
Order option 3: CODE. Items are displayed in supplier code order. If an item has no code, it is excluded.
Order option 4: AUTHOR. Items are displayed alphabetically by author. If an item has no author, it is excluded.
When you have made your selection, click on the search button. After a few seconds (normally), the screen will display the results of your search.
The first 20 items that meet the conditions of the search are displayed.
If there is a "PICTURE" link inside the More Details column, clicking on the "PICTURE" will bring up a picture of the item and sometimes a description of its contents.
If there are more than 20 items in the search results, click the "NEXT" box at the bottom of the page to go to the next page. If there are more than 2 pages (i.e. 40 items), you may click on a specific page number. Clicking on the "PREV" box takes you back to a previous page.
