Subject: How Many Churches Temples Mosques
Some of you may find the following statistics (on Google) interesting. I’ve popped Christian Churches at the end.
According to Al-Bayan daily, the report by Deloitte and Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre, estimated the current number of mosques in the world at around 3.6 million.
There are some 800,000 mosques in Indonesia, which probably makes it the country with the most mosques in the world.
India comes second with around 300,000 mosques. In USA 2,100 mosques, in Britain 1,000 mosques, in France 2,200 mosques.
According to the ABC in Australia there are about 340 mosques but according to Wikipedia 38.
India has more than 2 million Hindu temples (this was recorded during the 2001 census)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List of Hindu temples in the United States
Today there are 846 Hindu Temples across the United States
And according to Wikipedia, there are 23 Hindu temples in Australia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List of Buddhist temples
This list is smaller, no specific numbers shown, I counted eight temples advertised on Wikipedia in Australia, and 36 in Myanmar (known as the land of the Pagodas).
An awkward practice, not commanded in Buddhism, but a “Feng-Shui” (wind, water energy) practice in numerous Buddhist homes is to place a humanly carved Buddha statue into a special area of the home. Do not do this, those words of the second commandment.
How many Christian churches are there in the world? - Quora
There are 37 million churches (gatherings) in the world (another article in 2010 says 50,000 churches are being added every year)
According to the World Christian Encyclopedia there are at least 33,000 Christian denominations in the United States, with the vast majority being stand-alone congregations, sharing essentially common beliefs but with no mutual association with one another.
Thank you Lord, you see each one of us as individuals, as you build your church you see each person’s heart, may you return soon.
Blessings all Steve
