A movie in 2013 was adapted from a stage musical in 2007 based on songs written by the Proclaimers (identical twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid born in Leith on 5 March 1962) mostly from their first and second albums. Click here for the movie script.

Leith itself is a borough two miles (3 kms) north of Edinburgh, the port where Edinburgh's main river enters the North Sea. Just 50,000 people live there (about the size of Hervey Bay in Queensland).
