Molonglo River travels from the south east to the north-west. Source is Tallaganda National Park. Meets up with Queanbeyan River, which flows from the south to the north, through Queanbeyan, at Oaks Estate in Eastern Canberra. Continues to flow west. Dammed at the Scrivener Dam in Canberra to form Lake Burley Griffin. Molonglo River continues to flow south-west, before turning north-west meeting up with the Murrumbidgee, west of the Barton Highway, west of Belconnen, south-west of Woodstock Nature Reserve, just west of Shepherds Lookout, and East of Uriarra Recreation Reserve. Murrumbidgee River source is at Peppercorn Hill, south west of Canberra. Winds its way north towards Canberra, meets up with Molonglo River. Continues to flow north west before turning and flowing west. Crosses under the Hume Highway at Gundagai. Flows north of the Sturt Highway at Wagga Wagga.
